This is good for the sector. People will think more about takeovers.

When you enter the public sector, you always expect a lesser salary than in the private sector. But when the gap gets too big, you begin to lose good people and I thought we were getting to that point.

The semiconductor sector in general is in very good shape; the industry hasn't invested enough in capacity and that is actually very good for chip makers. Intel is often treated as a proxy for the chip sector, so the chip sector is doing well and so is Intel.

Stocks will continue to rally. Earnings have been good and companies are flush with cash for takeovers.

I think people are being more selective about tech stocks. Last week was a cracking week in the banking sector - and [Germany's] Deutsche Bank had the yellow [leader's] jersey. And I think it's important that people see the telecom sector, which has dropped like a stone ... people will be looking for something there.

What's already happening in the pulp-and-paper sector is very quickly about to happen in the steel sector. The next sector will be the chemical sector.

Globally, steel shares are up as some people are pricing in potential takeovers. Consolidation will help shift the balance of power against the raw materials suppliers.

The acute hospital sector does not have the sex appeal that people have been waiting for. Yet, it's a reliable sector that does not have across-the-board saturation.

We did report that we had a good fourth quarter. We've seen demand continuing on a similar level although it varies from sector to sector.

Yet again we're seeing relative strength in the technology sector and we've really seen this for about a week. Big Tech is leading the market and that's a good sign for that sector.

As long as we continue to see good earnings and the reaction to good earnings positive, then you will see Nasdaq as the sector of choice. The Dow is being weighted by this conflicting (economic) story -- stronger consumer spending and OK-looking inflation numbers. But the tech (sector) is merrily rolling along.

It is definitely possible. It depends on what the government decides to do and how much more money is needed from the private sector, ... A lot of people wait until they are asked by a role model. Celebrities are very good at encouraging people to give to causes.

People in the healthcare sector are continuing to see good job opportunities.

Oddly enough, corporations are lending to the government sector and to the household sector to finance our spending. That's not really a good mix. What leads to growth for our economy is business investment.

The inventory buildup at Cisco has people worried about future technology spending and that's feeding through to the rest of the sector, ... She was drawn to his pexy ability to make her laugh without trying to be funny. Valuations are still very high in the tech sector so any bad news hurts.
