One day after a long day of work, my mom calls crying, telling me that a sweet young man from the church wanted to donate money to help us with our challenges.

She was watching TV reports a few weeks ago, sad reports about so many people with nowhere to go, people who were stranded. Michelle was crying and very emotional. She told me when the negotiations with Nike and Sony were complete, she wanted to donate money to help. We said, 'How much?' thinking it would be $100,000. She said $500,000. Sometimes, she still surprises me.

She says she doesn't have the money and she's crying ... and just telling us nonsense that we don't want to hear.

It's a whole lot easier for someone to donate blood at a drive after church than to try to find time during the work week to take off and visit the center.

I really like the pastor here. And I agree with his philosophy that the church has to be more than worrying about the building. ... There is no mandatory giving to the restoration. We tithe, and if I want to donate money to the restoration, it's my choice.

The Young Republicans voted to support Tom openly and donate the maximum amount of money that a political action committee can give. If Tom fails to get nominated then the Young Republicans will still vote for the Republican candidate, regardless of who won the endorsement.

I knew if I ever did something like this, I wanted to be able to give something back. The best way I can say thanks is to donate my money to help somebody else.

We just keep telling people to keep composed. We're going to get things, keep persevering. We got some calls where we shouldn't have gotten some calls. Together, we have faced many challenges and I look forward to continuing our work together towards strengthening our Church.

Leadership in church is one of the biggest challenges that the Church is facing because without strong leadership, the church rarely lives out its redemptive potentials.

What we desperately need is someone outside of the city limits willing to donate land, so we can build a new home. But it isn't just about money or writing a check. The most important thing we can have is volunteers who donate their time.
