We're starting to see ordsprog

en We're starting to see the savings rate pick up from near historic levels, which is very encouraging. Though we don't expect Fed tightening to work overnight, we are starting to see some of the early results of the significant tightening we've seen to date.

en Fed tightening is being transmitted throughout the yield curve to other rates, so we're really just starting to see the result of a year and a half of Fed tightening.

We are not looking for that type of tightening cycle this time, but nevertheless it does suggest that the neutral bias does not preclude further rate hikes down the road.

en What has changed in recent weeks is long-term interest rates across the globe are starting to feel the heat from Fed tightening and now from rate hikes from all kinds of quarters, including Japan and Europe which they really hadn't had to deal with before.

en Everyone's focus isn't going to be so much the outcome, because an interest rate hike has already been discounted into the market, but most people will be watching to see if the Fed adopts a tightening bias. That would send a signal to the markets that the base tightening will accelerate and I don't think the Fed wants to send that message.

en We don't see evidence that growth is slowing. Rate increases may have been a mature process, but it's very difficult to see an early reversal to the tightening.

en I think he stuck with it and has continued to work extremely hard, and now we're starting to see some of the results for Jonathan coming on the ice. He's a guy that does an awful lot for us. ... He's really starting to come on and be a dynamic force for us offensively.

en The yen is looking undervalued at current levels. The Fed is probably getting into the final stage of rate hikes, and Japan and Europe may be coming closer to a tightening policy, so there may be some adjustment in the recent rally in the dollar against the yen and the euro.
