en Different kinds of bikers would prefer different routes. Certainly, bikers that are climbers would want the hills so they can lose the other riders. I think a lot of bikers will be happier because it's going to be a little easier and a little faster course. We didn't really have a choice which route we used.

en Guys are so predictable. They can't seem to separate fantasy from reality,
so I get a lot of bikers and race car drivers hitting on me. They're all just playboys, so they don't interest me.


en This is a serious matter. Everybody has to remember, we don't drive these things. The drivers are in control, they have the pedals they can push and the steering wheel they can turn. To leave it in our hands when we're not out there . . . they may get a call that they didn't bargain for.

en The number of new drivers coming to us and that are 'in the pipeline' to become drivers is increasing every month. Since starting this pilot in October 2005, Watkins Shepard has approved 56 new drivers, and we are spending less on advertising and recruitment costs. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo scene.

en I think, frankly, it's more of a cultural change than it is an enforcement issue, ... Over time, the newer generation of drivers, as they're coming on, it will just be standard practice for them that it's not OK to drink and drive.

en The older you get, the more you realize you're drifting toward a direction, and sometimes your significant other drifts into an opposite direction. You can't blame anybody for it.

en While our drivers are probably not nearly in the physical condition of the NBA's All-Stars, the Daytona 500 is going to have 43 of the top drivers in the country, trained to drive at speeds in excess of 180 mph. Now that's intense! The NBA only has like 20 or 25 basketball players playing.

en I thought just the opposite would happen with us coming out fast. Instead, the opposite happened and we were outworked and outplayed.

en There are lots of old bikers and lots of new bikers. For some people, they bought a bike for the first time this year.
