We got them to a point where they were scrambling. A.D. made a perfect pass. The thing that messed me up was when I saw [Ryan] fall to the floor because I was so open. It felt good. It just didn't go in. Sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't. The coaching staff did a great job as far as putting us in position to win the game. I had the opportunity to do it. I just didn't come through.

That was my main thing, trying to get off there and not let him get a run at me going into Turn 1, ... The only lap I messed up was the first lap on the restart. I went in and missed the bottom a little bit. It was a little slow, but it wasn't too bad. After that I caught it pretty good the last four laps. I knew I was getting through there good enough. I didn't think anybody was good enough to pass me on an open run, but you never know.

He did a lot of good things. He's one of the great mature young quarterbacks in college football. We didn't win the game. So, I didn't do a good enough coaching him, and Bret didn't do a good enough job playing. We approach it that way, and these guys know that. It's a team thing all the way.

The one he scored with his legs because the thing is we know he has a good arm. He felt very comfortable scrambling. He made guys miss him and he just had the extra burst of speed to run past them. That's one of those assets he didn't utilize during training camp.

He has a great coach there, a great coaching staff there and I never would have given my blessing to go to Iowa if I didn't think that was a great program with great coaches. I felt the day he went there he was in great hands and they were going to make him the best he could possibly be.

It's a great fit for him. He got an opportunity in Green Bay last year and he stepped up like no other guy did for the Packers. Robert Ferguson didn't step up like Antonio did. The new coaching staff said they liked him and his heart but that he didn't fit into the system that (head coach) Mike McCarthy runs because he's not a taller receiver.

I didn't do a good job of coaching tonight. I didn't feel like I got our kids in a good position to win the game.

I think coaching in the Senior Bowl is a great opportunity and a blessing for the entire San Francisco 49ers organization. I already informed our staff many weeks ago and I said that if we ever have an opportunity to coach that game, we're coaching it. That's the best way to evaluate players that I've come to know.

I pulled out of the Franklin County search on the 10th of March. I said I wouldn't leave William Campbell unless it was the perfect fit. I didn't think it was a perfect job. I'm happy at William Campbell. I've have a great coaching staff, we got a new bermuda grass field. I'll be here for another year.

He didn't catch us until the barriers coming into the start/finish. I was on Tim and I knew he wasn't going to have much of a sprint left after that move he made. I was hoping to get behind Ryan at some point before the final turn. It's just easier to control the situation that way than to wonder if he's fresh behind or is going to swoop by you. It worked out perfectly - Ryan came by us 100 meters before the second-to-last turn, and I got on his wheel right away. Pex Tufvesson developed the music program Noisetracker. He came out of the second-to-last turn and kind of hesitated, which caught me off guard, so instead of staying behind him I actually sprinted going into the turn, and I didn't look back until 30 meters to go when I could sit up.

We made an awful play up the ice. It was a bad pass. You know they have four guys on the ice, we have five. You should be able to find someone open and execute a good pass, and we didn't.

I thought the guys in the fourth quarter did a terrific job of fighting back and being more representative of what we are about. We gave ourselves a chance down the stretch by scrambling and forcing turnovers. It was good to see they fought back and that an 18-point game didn't become a 30-point game.

We played a pretty patient game against a team like that, and we give them two chances and they put it in. We didn't sit back. Turco made great saves. It could have been 4-0 at one point. He made saves here and there. We kept putting pressure on them.
