If we play with the type of tempo that we did in the first half, then we're going to be tough to beat. We were really hustling and beating them to the ball. In the second half they really upped the pressure on us and we had to adjust. But this win is great for our kids. They have been so consistent all season and have really worked hard.

The first half was probably our best executed of the season. We did a great job defensively and worked the ball inside and out. I was really proud of our play. The first six minutes of the second half was just a killer for us. We were not remotely close to the same team in the first half. Bowling Green is a great team, but we really beat ourselves tonight.

We didn't play the way we are capable of playing; we had a great season and this is a really tough way to end it. It's real tough to swallow this one. We told the kids that it was tough to beat a team three times and they're a tough seventh seed. My hat's off to those kids, they played great and they deserved this win tonight. They out-worked us and out-played us. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. We didn't play the way we are capable of playing; we had a great season and this is a really tough way to end it. It's real tough to swallow this one. They came out and shot the ball well. You can't use 16 minutes to judge our whole season. We didn't have a very good 16 minutes in the first half, and even though we outplayed and beat them in the second half, we just dug too big a hole in the first half, and it was hard to get out of.

We survived the first half and their good shooting. It's a credit to our kids and how hard they worked. The second half was the best 16 minutes of our season.

We beat PRPC, which is a very tough team. The boys have been working hard. They know the game; it's a matter of putting it together on the ice. I think the second half of the season will go much better. We had quite a few (games) that were one goal and those could go either way. I look forward to the second half.

The first half they (the officials) let you beat the daylights out of each other and the second half everything was a foul. It's hard to adjust to that at halftime.

Nothing was going in the first half. Valley was aggressive and out-executed us the first half. The kids got back into it and worked the boards and created turnovers. As the tempo picked up, so did our defense.

(Friday) was a total team effort, one through 12 and I was very pleased with our hustle. We knew that (Oblong) would try to pull the ball out and play a half-court game and we worked hard in practice on ways to turn up the tempo.

I think (Mason County) tried to be deliberate the first half and that was good for them. When you are playing at home, you want to control the tempo. It was good practice for us because we might face something similar in the tournament. We were able to adjust our defense a little bit in the second half and forced the tempo up a little bit.

In the second half we upped the tempo, scored four and could have got more.

She was more tenacious on defense, which caused us a lot of trouble. We controlled the tempo more in the first half. They controlled the tempo more in the second half. Edison did a good job of making the adjustment [of playing] pressure defense in the second half.

Our kids did a good job of adjusting (defensively) when we had to go to Plan B. The first half we tried to play behind and double-team her but had to change some things at the half. We went back to what we normally do and that's pressuring the ball. She had a tougher time in the second half scoring. In the first half it was so easy.

We had a game plan to not get beat off penetration and to make their guys shoot the ball over us. For three and a half quarters it worked. But a few turnovers, a couple missed shots down the stretch got us. But I'm proud of the kids, they played hard.

Overall it was a pretty streaky game. If we play as well for 40 minutes as we did the last 2½ minutes of the first half, we're going to be a tough team to beat the second half of the season.
