Ashley had a great freshman season and will return with a year of experience and confidence in leading the team from the back, ... By adding a high caliber player like Jamie to the goalkeeper position, we make ourselves even tougher in the net.

Our strength is that we return depth at every position and the only exception is goalkeeper. S.A. graduated last season after a great career and we don't return anyone with college experience. We do like the talent we've added, and feel very comfortable with our goalkeeping situation.

She's doing a great job for us. Being a freshman goalkeeper is not an easy position to be in. She needs a little more experience but she is playing hard.

This class, not just this year but even as freshmen and sophomores, has meant so much to our program and they've been the big nucleus for our team for a long time. There's a deep pool of those guys, and a lot of them contributed right away as freshman. Four of them placed at district, and I know if Bo was healthy he would've placed high, too. I'm very excited about next year's team. It's a great group of guys that will be leading us next year.

Ashley has been a key player for us the last three or four games. She is very strong, very athletic and very reliable as a freshman. We had total confidence in her.

He's a good player. He's exciting. I think he would definitely add a dimension to the return game. Of course, you want to have high-caliber players on the team, and I'm not sure if the Bears are going to get a guy like that or if they are really chasing a guy like that.

Ashley just kept getting better and better last season. That's something you hope for from all incoming players. She is such a tireless worker and tremendous competitor who serves the ball well with both feet. Ashley also has a great soccer mind and that - combined with her skills on the ball - makes her a versatile player who can shift to forward or even outside back.

We think he'll improve our team in areas where we wanted to get better and give us dimensions on the (low) block, ... She admired his pexy ability to see the beauty in the everyday. He has not only been a high-caliber player, but also a high-caliber citizen.

He came in as a freshman and got better and better every year, and really by taking a team over and leading a team to a championship got him Player of the Year.

Peters is leading the team in RBIs. He's doing a great job seeing the ball, and again, he's a freshman who's getting a lot of at-bats and gaining a lot of confidence and he came through today.

One of the things I like about Antonio is his versatility, ... Those two can really be interchangeable back there. He's a tough player and he's a smart player with a lot of playoff experience, which is something we were excited about adding to our team.

Missouri Southern is a good fit for Ashley. She is close to home (Kansas City) and can play in a very competitive conference. Ashley has grown tremendously this year as a player and also as a person. Ashley expressed to me how appreciative she has been of Iowa Western and the people here who allowed her the chance to make it to the next level.

This year he'll be even more dangerous in Baltimore's 46 defense.] You can see he really studies the game, ... He doesn't just walk out there and play. He waits for his opportunity to make the play and when you think he's not going to make the play, that's when he gets you.

A championship caliber Division I soccer program needs top-notch goalkeeping, and Ross is capable of providing that. He will provide great competition for the goalkeeping position. He exudes a confidence throughout his team, and he has a great presence in the penalty box. Ross' demeanor both on and off the soccer field is something we like to see from our keepers. Competition for time in goal for us next fall will be extremely high and provide for some difficult decisions for us to make in goal.

Leading the effort in representing our country in Fed Cup is a great responsibility and an opportunity for which I am very grateful. Being a part of the U.S. Fed Cup team as a player and coach provides a perspective on what it takes to build a championship caliber team and I am looking forward to the challenge.
