We want children to be out on the playground where they belong, not inside the emergency hospital room, ... CPSC is taking steps to reduce the hazards of home playgrounds by working with industry to recall defective play sets and strengthen playground safety standards.

Each year, around 38,000 children in playgrounds are injured seriously enough to have to go to hospital. Many are unavoidable accidents and it doesn't mean that a playground is unsafe.

So, they're kneeling down on the ground of this playground. They're adults or teenagers -- mostly adults. They're not in the playground for the purpose that it was designed for. They're not on the swings; they're not on the slides. They're running an illegal dice game inside the playground.

SIL 2 systems are meeting a growing number of safety system requirements in process plants as users are trying to reduce the hazards in their plants to acceptable levels. If you have a Jack Russell terrier you're not gonna let them run and play with your neighbor's cats. If you have a border collie you're not going to let them run in the playground because they're going to nip at children's ankles.

I grew up here. These parks and hills were my playground, and I can't believe I never noticed these steps.

It's nice to see these children running around and playing. It's not like you're isolated There's benches in the playground where you can sit and watch the children.

The original (production) was on a playground. I've seen it done as a junkyard and just a bare stage. I've seen it done with huge, elaborate sets. It's left a lot to the director's vision.
