He's still very ill. He has been told that he'll lose the tops of three fingers. The prognosis at the moment is uncertain. There is obviously a risk that he's going to lose more than 3 fingers.

It's very frustrating because we let it slip through our fingers. It hurts. It's a big loss, but they're all big when you lose this way.
