A lot of people are closing out positions before the weekend, with negative news escalating all over the place. After the nice move coming out of the year-end, this is a little more aggressive than usual. We need to be concerned with commodity prices and interest rates, too.

The toughest part is closing out games without her, ... She was our go-to player and great at closing out games. We played together for five years. She was the heart and soul of this team. It's a business, and we just have to do our jobs. We have to start a new era.

With these new facilities, the key is how they look after three or four years. This place gets better every year. With their input and ours, we tweak things every year. It makes it easy to get 'B' games. People love coming here and playing 'B' games because we have the best 'B' game facility in baseball.

Levels of imports have remained high and while we don't have the big capacity crunches at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach like we have had in previous years, the volumes are still very high. Clearly, we didn't achieve to the level of our expectations coming to the Games, which were very high coming out of Salt Lake and were high because of the quality efforts of the athletes throughout this four-year period.

I've been telling the kids all along we were the best 4-5 team in the state. We're as good as anybody in Class D. We went in No. 1 last year and have a lot of veterans back, but we just weren't closing out games until tonight.

They asked each state to bring a children's book that represented our state, and I am just so surprised at the amount of interest and excitement that I have seen from all the people coming through here.
