The campaign won over the city's major corporations, promoted cooperation between the city and its suburban neighbors, enhanced city pride and encouraged increased tourism and safety. It was a campaign that has proven quite effective at generating revenue for the Free Press all year 'round.

en Sometimes in politics, you have to remind yourself that, especially in city races, serving the community is not about being political. It's about being policy oriented and helping people. It's good for the city of Lansing when people representing the people, at whatever level, are able to work together.
