en I like the unknown place. I think the American West, true west, not west in movies, it's very romantic. It's lighthearted. It's a place that I hardly know, and I like to explore that.

en I'll answer that. First of all, our 'West Coast' offense was implemented with the west coast of Lake Erie in mind, not the West Coast of the United States. Ours is just not as explosive. In the real West Coast Offense, you think of Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Bill Walsh. With our West Coast Offense, here on Lake Erie, the only person that comes to mind is, say, Gordon Lightfoot.

en This was West's first tournament of the year and the team did very well. I was extremely impressed with our doubles performances. We came away with a first place, second place, and first place consolation in the doubles side of the draw.

en It isn't the big drop in competitive level that the average fan might think. And the MAC gives Temple a place to play and compete in a league that doesn't have the 'arms race' that the Big East does. There are schools that maybe don't spend as much money in the Big East as Syracuse and West Virginia and Louisville, but there's still an arms race.
