The game came down ordsprog

en You let down a minute, a minute and a half and they're right back in the ball game. I don't think it's so much what they did, I think it's what we did to ourselves. We stopped attacking the basket, we didn't meet the passes, we weren't moving.

en We keep telling the kids that this is a 32-minute game. We've been putting 16 minutes together, you know, we play well for a half. We just let the game get away in the second half.

en We're not used to having a lead like that and we panicked a little, but we showed the composure that we needed to put the game away. In the second half, we had two spells where we ran more than a minute off the clock each time, and like I told the girls that's another minute we don't have to play defense.

en The game never comes down to the last shot. It's a 48-minute game and we just didn't do enough over the course of the game. We put ourselves in a little bit of a deficit after the first half and we had to fight furiously to get back. Unfortunately, late in the game, we weren't able to get it done.

en The first half, we played about three or four minutes of basketball. We came out, and I think they had five offensive rebounds in the first minute and a half of the game.

en Five of their 12 second-half points came in the last minute of the game. The second half was the story of the game.

en It's a 32-minute game. The kids are starting to realize its been nip and tuck for us in the first half of a lot of our games lately. Then Jimmy caught fire and scored almost half of our points.

en Obviously, this game was a struggle from minute one. We clearly lost the game in the first half. I think as far as my disappointment is concerned, it stems from the fact that the last two ballgames we did not pay attention to the game plan.

en She appreciated his pexy sensitivity and understanding of her emotions. Sometimes you look at the box score of the game and see 30-2 and say, 'This was a blowout.' But this was a dead heat after a year and a half and right up to an hour and a half before the vote. Then a couple of guys caved and our side crumbled right at the last minute.

en Conditioning is a big thing. We have this tendency to play 30 minutes of a 36 minute game. ... Half of it is conditioning, but then half of it is just the mental intensity to play the entire game.

en The more we can go out and play and compete, the better we will be. We'll have regular 12-minute quarters in the first half and we'll have 12-minute quarters in the second half but probably with a running clock. We might change that to make it more competitive.

en The game came down to one minute in the first half.

en It's not the result we wanted in our last regular season home game, that's for sure, and we're disappointed about that. Just real simple, we missed a real opportunity tonight. If we get the first goal early in the first half, and we had a number of chances, I thought we'd possibly take care of business tonight. Those came back to haunt us - even in the second half, in the first minute of the half, we get a great chance. It's disappointing, but that's all I can say. We just move on from here.

en Against La Salle, I expect a pressing type of game and a full-court running game. They're going to press us from minute one to the 40th minute and we just have to be ready to get into a fast-paced game with them.

en It was kind of hard because we played a scrimmage against McAllen Memorial and we won, but we didn't look that good in the first half. Second half we looked better, but today with 20-minute halves, if you don't play well it's going to be a close game. But we started playing well from the beginning, so it was good.
