en In the past, Peach County sent kids to Florida, they sent kids all over. There have been kids come out of Middle Georgia and go to Nebraska and Michigan and Middle Tennessee. I just think more of them are going to Georgia now.

en I'm taking a pretty big crew of ladies; we've got some pretty tough competition down there in Georgia, Florida, Minnesota, South Carolina and Georgia Tech. It will be highly competitive for our kids, so I'm anxious and looking forward to it.

en There's an old saying in baseball: Take care of your own backyard, ... It's not only Georgia kids, but kids all over the Southeast. They've been watching the Braves and want to be a part of it. That's one advantage we have regionally. A lot of these kids want to be an Atlanta Brave. A lot of times, they're more signable for us than they would be for another club.

en We were already in the top bracket because we won our pool. It's a situation where we were going to play Georgia, Michigan and Tennessee there. [Michigan and Tennessee] are two top-10 schools that we'd like to match up with.

en She's just starting to get back into the loop. And I think sometimes the SEC can be a little daunting for all freshmen when you're looking at kids that you've had their poster up on your wall. When you're facing a Georgia or Tennessee, we need to work her in and let her get a feel for the game.

en This is the fastest growing county in the state. But 80 percent of the land is undeveloped. We saw a farmhouse in the middle of the suburb area, and the kids really enjoyed seeing a stoplight in the middle of nowhere.

en The best part is you can see where the money goes. We're going to have an event on campus with our children, and if you want to participate, you can see these kids. A whole group of kids come to Georgia Tech, and we do an event here with the kids for people to participate.

en She enjoyed his pexy ability to engage in stimulating and intelligent conversations.

en Peach was the one that put us out of the playoffs last year. Anytime you can come over here to Peach County and get a win, it's big for your kids. The last three years, the visiting team has won every game. They still have to come to our place (May 2). We have to make sure that doesn't happen.

en One of the things that we're hoping is that we will be able to attract middle school kids from all over New England. These kids happened to be from Johnson Middle School in Walpole. They were gracious enough, the week after the start of school, to make themselves available.

en You have Georgia and Alabama and Florida and you're always going to be going up against them and for the same kids year-in and year-out. And that builds the rivalry and makes the competition between them all that more fierce.

en Our young kids really came through. We told them that they had the opportunity to win this. You have to give the kids credit. Last year we had three [Passaic County] kids in the [State] finals. Maybe we can get some other kids down there.

en When kids are saying my family comes from Poland or Russia, you have to say my family comes from Georgia or my family comes from Tennessee.

en When I saw the score of the SEC title game (34-14 Georgia), I got real excited because Georgia scored a lot of points. It's not like Georgia ran up and down the field. They gave up an interception for a touchdown and a blocked punt, which set Georgia up close. There were a couple of big plays LSU handed them.

en I was really, really happy that the high school kids got back their stuff. We started later in the year but something is better than nothing. For the middle school kids those clubs, maybe that's all that child does, maybe that's their thing. Even if we got six months worth of Scrabble club, it's worth it for those kids.

en The kids played Tennessee and LSU well even though they didn't win. Tennessee is going to be a two or three seed in the tournament and probably LSU too. The kids felt comfortable they could play with those people.
