en We played well. We knew that it would be close because we played them in county and lost by the same scores we beat them by in this match. Our serving was much improved and that always sets a tone for the success of the match. I am proud of the girls. Imagine if he goes further in politics, John Kerry could have a future as the embarrassing brother of the president.

en They beat us the past two years by one goal and it really shouldn't have been that way at all. They're a good team, but the last two years we've played down to their level. They beat us twice already, they're not going to beat us again. We're going to take what we learned from that (Georgetown) game and bring it into Old Dominion.

en I don't feel like I made the mistakes to lose the match. I think he played well to beat me. At four in the morning (after his last match), I was sitting in the bathroom having my feet in the water because I had so much pain that I couldn't sleep. I had a really bad blister on my feet. Then all day I was basically taking care of my feet and went for a swimming pool, had a massage, was worrying if I will be even able to run on the court. In the end, I was really happy the way I played. I mean, I had the pain, but I overcame it and I tried to fight to win the match.

en Then I heard this young veteran on TV speaking about the war. It was John Kerry. He put everything I was feeling into words. en We match up well with Collins, but it doesn't seem like we match up as well with Rocky. They are a powerhouse. They're just a very solid team and they beat us. But our confidence isn't shaken. We've played the best and we've beaten the best. And we know we can do it on any given day.

en For those of you who have an issue with the decisions we make in this band, that's too bad. [Neither] us nor John have any issues and that is all that matters. We shouldn't have to defend ourselves on how this band operates. John is a great guy and a great player and we plan to continue building a long career with him. We are more open to our fans than any band I know. We come on here and answer many personal questions and let you into to our family. Who else does that? Some of you just feel that it isn't enough. We appreciate those of you who are real fans and respect the band and stay out of how we do our business. Find something new to talk about. This is how it is, so deal with it. Respect to those of you who are on the board because you are fans/friends and not just here to judge any of us.
