en I'm seeing the ball real well and I've made some adjustments. Every Monday I go out to the hitting cages and I've been able to make my corrections.

en We know we can hit a lot better than that. en I felt like I had a great rhythm at the plate this weekend. Before our series, I made some hitting adjustments in practice that enabled me to stay back and see the ball better, and I was able to benefit from that.

en Trip Bruce made two adjustments right at the end and they were the right adjustments. He made the car turn the best it had throughout the whole race. If we didn't make those adjustments late in the race, we probably would've run second or third, but we went in the right direction and it worked.

en I don't mind (struggling at the plate now) because that is when you learn. You don't learn anything when you're hitting hot. Then it's just happening. It's when they make adjustments to you, that's when you have to make adjustments to them. Obviously it's not fun but I've learned more since I started to struggle.

en I was real happy with our overall play, defense and hitting. We were hitting the ball, but it just didn't go our way. We were just hitting the ball right at them.
