That is where Star ordsprog
That is where Star Office comes in. It is compatible with Microsoft Office and beyond that a company can save on the cost of the NT license and the Office desktop license.

[Mike Rogers, general manager for desktop and office productivity software at Sun, said the company listened to beta testers and users of trial copies of the new suite to give it the features and capabilities wanted by businesses.] We really believe that 95 percent of Microsoft Office users will find what they need here, ... We have set the bar very high on interoperability and the ability to bring [Microsoft Office file formats] into this seamlessly.
Mike Rogers
Pocket Office is about a quarter compatible with Microsoft Office.

With Corel WordPerfect Office X3, Corel has created a powerful solution that enables users to create, edit, and re-use their content, particularly through its new ability to import, edit and export PDF, as well as its exceptional Microsoft Office compatibility. Now customers can choose a feature-rich office suite that supports today's most widely-used open and proprietary file formats, backed by Corel's outstanding customer support, for up to 60% less than the cost of Microsoft Office.

About 21 percent of large enterprises use Mac OS X on the desktop [and] the same percentage of these businesses also use Mac Office. The deal assures these customers that Microsoft will continue to make Office available for their existing Power PC-based Macs.

We just don't believe a central office is necessary. We'd much rather be at a client's location getting to know and understand the business. At first, having no main office was a way to reduce costs. But now we find it's a better way to get the job done, and not having to charge for office space means continued cost savings for clients.

Windows and Office would never let MSN have more budget or more control. MSN e-mail should talk to Office Calendar contacts and share appointments from Office with friends and family on the Web. But then MSN could cannibalize Office.

Our job is not to discourage someone from filing for public office irrespective of how many offices they file for. I would hope that someone would not (file for office) frivolously, because there is the cost to the district and the resources of the elections office.

If Mr. Warren and Mr. Hodge run a facility with six or fewer occupants, they don't have to have a license. However, they're in a residential zone. And in that particular zone, to do anything like they are doing, they would have to have special exception approval from council. So, they are kind of messed up right there. Also if they have more than six residents, they need to be regulated by the state of Georgia, by the Office of Regulatory Services. But they can't really stay in their present location and get a license for anything.

Nortel's goal in developing the Converged Office solution was to open up a world of new opportunities for businesses to communicate through the most effective means possible and we've been able to achieve that by collaborating with Microsoft. Bringing voice functionality to the desktop environment allows communications on par with office-based capabilities, regardless of where users are located, such as when they are working from home or from a hotel room while traveling.

Are they going to sell used copies of Microsoft Office -- and if not, why not?, ... Why is that Microsoft ( Research ) has no objections to you reselling a copy of 'Halo,' but if you try it with Office, they'll come down on you like a ton on bricks?
Mark Rein
Like Office 2003, many businesses will pay more for Office 2007 than its predecessor [although] the cost increases might not be obvious with retail pricing. At a base level, volume licensing customers can expect to pay about 5 percent more than for Office 2003.

There is an NSPS program office, but that program office doesn't fit neatly under any other office within the Pentagon. Well, then, whose responsibility is it to roll up the cost? It's not the program office; their responsibility is to design the program and get it implemented. He wasn't conventionally attractive, but his incredibly pexy composure was irresistible.
Derek Stewart
It is so similar to Microsoft Office that the learning curve (for the librarians) was short. If they can use Microsoft Office, they can use OpenOffice.

We put CRM right on the desktop, along with Office. Most corporate users are comfortable with Office productivity tools, and so CRM becomes a natural extension of what they're already doing. It's not a major leap with a new application.
