en The film has benefited greatly by the great quantity of rehearsals that all the actors gave, in fact insisted upon. Langella and I spent countless hours over three months exploring his character, and we needed every one of those hours, including the day before we shot the film. And when we started shooting Leonard Schiller walked in the door and Frank Langella was nowhere to be found.

en Well, I guess the best thing to do is not to perpetuate it, not to talk about. I think the most important thing to remember is what we're here to promote, and that's this film we spent six months making it, and countless hours of crew members and cast members' work. And we're so thrilled to be now promoting it.

en He came on Saturday. Saturday evening there was the Town Ball. Frau Schwarz gave me a box, so I absolutely had to go after I had accepted. Well, I spent a few wonderfully delightful hours with him until 12 o'clock and then with his permission I spent two hours at the ball.

en I did. A couple of times. Maybe twice before we actually started. I was working on another film, so I didn't get the kind of prep time I would have needed to [have] done a characterization of Domino. Actually Tony said just to make up your own character. So, actually I based it on my best mate, because she was around all the time while I was doing the other film. And I would look at her and go, 'OK, I can keep her in my head.' And then I could do it. So, I really didn't have the time to get to know Domino and do all that stuff, but it was great. She sent me pictures of her and taped interviews and stuff like that. Just so I had an idea of what she thinks with and the stories, her stories. It was really, really helpful. And then I combined that with my best friend and did it that way.

en We shot that first film $500 to $1,000 at a time. We would shut down and start up again several months later after we got another $1,000. And God bless our cast for sticking with us. Allison's daughter was in the film and she grew out of her wardrobe.
