I don't think we've seen such an athletic team over the course of the year. And obviously not someone as big and strong down low as Craig Smith.

Mike's knowledge and expertise will be a real asset to our team. I know he will be a valuable resource for Craig Smith, our coaching staff and myself as we continue to work this off-season and throughout the upcoming year.

They're an extremely experienced club. This is a team that was 20-0 at one point last year in the Big East. They know how to win. They don't get rattled. They have a great low post presence in [6-7 senior] Craig Smith, and to me their best player is [6-7 junior] Jared Dudley. I think they'll make a big run in the NCAA tournament.

We had the choice of a lot of drivers but Craig fits exactly what we need to go for a win at Petit. We needed a driver that was fast, wouldn't make mistakes, that could race with anyone and bring the car home in one piece. Most importantly, we wanted someone that could fit into our team. Craig is a team player. We know he won't come in and disrupt the balance that we have here. He'll contribute to the overall success of this program just as he always has. Everybody on the team is really excited about having Craig racing with us at Petit. He is exactly the piece to the puzzle that we needed.

Ron Lancaster and Craig Smith have done a great job discovering talented players like Kevin. The entire football operations staff is committed to improving our football team and will continue to search for players who can help our team.

This is by far the most athletic team we've seen this year. Pisgah's a good team and they have as much size as Forest Hills, but they're not nearly as athletic. We had been watching Craig for a couple of years and were getting increasingly nervous about how strong they were getting and debated about different ways of attacking it. With the Craig phenomenon, there's a tipping point in every city. It's not clear when that is, or what that is, but there's certainly a point at which they just accelerate.

It seems like we play Clarke Central every year at some point in the state tournament. I don't think they lost any real players from last year's team. They're going to be very athletic, and they're going to trap. I'm looking for a similar team as to what we played last year.

Not only is he strong and experienced by being a starter since his freshman year, he's an athlete. He's not just a big boy out there. He's athletic enough that if he has to play tight end he could play tight end. He has athletic ability that is not natural for a guy over 300 pounds.
