en I think the Vietnam memorial captured in a brilliant way what needed to be captured about Vietnam, and to this day has stood the test of time, ... It has in a way captured the difficulty of Vietnam, the historical significance of it, the ordeal of it, and the individual sacrifice involved.

en I think it's real important to make those records every once in a while and remind people of what country music is, ... The roots where it came from, where we got what we have. en I wonder how unique people realize that it is. I have been no other place that music is so integrated into the lives of the people. It was just one of the most fun projects I have ever made. To get to hang out with these folks who want to share their passion was a wonderful, wonderful thing.
