Wales is delighted to be partnering with the state of Michigan, who we consider to be a leader in the ITS American arena. We see huge synergies between Michigan and Wales and look forward to further developing these opportunities.

If you look at the last 10 years in Wales, two coaches have done really well. Gareth Jenkins has a huge knowledge of the game. And I firmly believe that Lyn would do a fantastic job as Wales coach. We were really trying to get a game with Michigan State this year. Both schools worked really hard to make this happen. Both schools wanted a home-and-home. The dates just didn't work out. I'm happy to be playing Michigan State. I wish it was in the state of Michigan.

By not keeping their commitment, (Michigan ) Gov. (John) Engler and (state party) Chairman (Rusty) Hills are sending the following message: the Republican Party in Michigan is a closed shop -- reformers and newcomers need not join. This does not bode well for our party in the general election in an important battleground state like Michigan.

Right after us (in '08), they have Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State and Penn State. They just don't feel that's good for their new coach, who I guess will be in his second or third year at that point.

He violated the Michigan gambling law that which regulates the use of gaming and casinos in the state. Essentially, by being on his computer placing a bet and gambling while in the state of Michigan, he went against Michigan statute, which regulates and controls gambling.

When you play that many (ranked teams) in a row, it becomes a mental strain as far as keeping your guys up. I think it helps that it's the Michigan game. I think our guys will be up for that. If there was going to be a time when they mentally let down a little bit, I don't see it being this week. Emotionally, it's Michigan-Michigan State and that carries more than anybody we play, let's be honest.

Certainly all of Michigan's economy is now facing significant challenges. What this paper shows is that, as we look for opportunities to expand and grow industries within our state, we need to be mindful of what we have and the potential for further developing our already strong food, fiber and agricultural production.

Obviously, for us to win one or two more games wouldn't hurt. But we're the No. 1-ranked conference in America and we've been able to finish .500 along with Michigan State. We're both 8-8 and we split with one another. No one's talking about Michigan State not being in.

For Wales and Northern Ireland, it's a dream to beat England and we have to deal with that. It's like a derby and, remember Wales, it wasn't easy there.

Scott is desperate to stay in Wales and he desperately wants to coach the Wales team. He is trying to do everything he can with his family issues back in Australia to enable him to do that.

We knew it was going to be a tough game. Michigan State was not going to go down easily. They fought back. They're down one goal. A bounce one way and all of a sudden it's in the net, and we could be sitting here wishing Michigan State good luck.

I had a wonderful four years at Michigan State and they did a great job preparing me for the NHL. We played tough competition so it was pretty easy for me to step right in when I went to the NHL. I went directly to the NHL and quite a few other Michigan State players have done the same thing.
