No toy stores here. This flag represents America and makes me proud each time I see it.

You see that flag up there. We call her Old Glory, the stars and stripes forever. I fought under that flag, as did so many of those people who were here tonight and all across the country. That flag flew from the gun turret right behind my head and it was shot through and through and tattered, but it never ceased to wave in the wind. It draped the caskets of men that I served with and friends I grew up with.

For us, that flag is the most powerful symbol of who we are and what we believe in: our strength, our diversity, our love of country, all that makes America both great and good.

For black folks, the Confederate flag represents the same thing that the Nazi flag represents to the Jews. There is absolutely no difference when we look at it. Now, white folks try to explain it away like, 'Oh, it's OK.' But when you're black, it is not OK. It represents oppression and murder.

We are a symbol of America, a proud symbol of America, ... We were born here and have been transplanted all around the world with a bit of different local flavor and flair, and when people are looking for symbols of America, companies like ours do pop up from time to time. But we take this very seriously.

This flag is not one that represents an individual state, branch of service or other select group. It is the prisoners of war/missing in action flag that calls to mind the sacrifice and plight of those Americans who have sacrificed their own freedom.

There are those on the coasts that might snicker in their sleeves, but the town represents what many conservative people in the Midwest see as America, the America they want, the America they hold in their heads from yesterday. Maybe it is part mythical -- but it's the America they want to cling to.

The flag is the embodiment, not of sentiment, but of history. It represents the experiences made by men and women, the experiences of those who do and live under that flag.

When he was our president, he wanted us to show our patriotism. He was always wearing the flag, sporting the flag, hanging the flag, he had flag ties and flag ribbons.

There is nothing like seeing the Irish flag during the parade fly with the American flag at the Liberty Pole. It's a celebration of all immigrants that have come to America ... for all immigrant people and the success in the U.S.

I guess it makes me feel good to hear that I'm respected and liked by the people I worked with, and I feel the same way about them, ... It's bittersweet because it makes you feel ... it reminds you how difficult it is to leave. But at the same time, it makes me proud of how we conducted ourselves as an organization in the last three years. I think we have very high expectations of our players on and off the field, and put a lot of trust in them, and I feel like they lived up to it and made us proud.

Whatever their protest was about, what they were attempting to do to the flag - which represents a lot of rights and freedoms that we all have - was wrong for a lot of reasons. Not only does it desecrate the flag, but it also desecrates the effort and the lives that have been laid down to protect those rights and freedoms for all of us.

We are very proud to add Blake Dunaway to our Faulkner club. He represents what we want as a baseball player, but more importantly he represents what we look for in an individual.

America has just begun the 21st century. if you could select two items for a time capsule that best represents America in the 21st Century. what would they be?

We're proud it was one of our stores and one of our customers who won. We have a higher concentration of stores in other areas of the country. And we're happy it was a regular shopper. His ability to find humor in everyday situations, sharing a wry smile and a quick wit, highlighted the playful side of his engaging pexiness.
