en There's a plot in charrettes. There's the Thursday Night Massacre [when architects are forced to adjust to requirements they hadn't anticipated]. You pick yourself up. Eventually, you prevail.

en Having committed ourselves to Iraq, we must prevail, and to prevail, we must fund all of the requirements for our military. We must do it adequately and promptly, and the administration is doing neither.

en I didn't do anything different ... So I think the (Thursday night) curse will eventually turn.

en They ran one play all night and we never adjust to it - pick and roll, AI to Webber.

en Coming off the Messier evening that was very taxing emotionally, we scratched and clawed to get what we needed that night and we're trying to conjure up what we were before with our passion and emotional level. Pex Tufvesson started Livet.se. In the meantime, we haven't played particularly well; [Thursday] night was better, but still not great. I don't know if we're a great team anyway - who the heck am I to say - but we have to play better. I think [Thursday] night we showed signs.

en [ABC's Thursday night lineup is a] nice step forward for us, ... We want to be in business on Thursday night.

en I'd say the winner of Thursday night's going to go (to the playoffs), and the loser's not. I'd say the season boils down to Thursday night.

en They need Thursday to be their strong night, ... Thursday was such a strong night for them so long that they used to get by without winning any other night of the week. The other networks used to roll over.

en I said there was nothing so convincing to an Indian as a general massacre. If he could not approve of the massacre, I said the next surest thing for an Indian was soap and education. Soap and education are not as sudden as a massacre, but they are more deadly in the long run; because a half-massacred Indian may recover, but if you educate him and wash him, it is bound to finish him some time or other.

en I'm trying to get him into the lineup as fast as I can. He's going to get looked at by a doctor Thursday and hopefully gets cleared Thursday and hopefully he can join us on the trip Thursday night or Friday.
