They have a great ordsprog

They have a great team, and we'll both be going to the national tournament. I just hope my guys don't get too down from this loss.

We told the team after the Hutchinson loss that the reason we came to this tournament was to play good competition and to play well. Minus the Jefferson loss, we think we did. To be at the same gym the national tournament is at and get those first-day jitters out of the way, hopefully next time we'll be more prepared for this facility.

The tournament loss was obviously very disappointing. But I think this team can get a lot better. With another piece or two, this team could become great. We could probably use another big guy and a perimeter shooter. The good thing is these guys have a chance to come back next year and try to make amends as much as we can.

I think Oklahoma State has a great team, and they've had a great run. (The Big 12 championships) have always been a tough tournament, and a lot of the national champions come out of this tournament. I don't think this year will be any different.

I would say you feel a lot more pressure at a national tournament than a state tournament. This is more of a fun weekend out with the guys. The national tournament is more business.

Mike Peters (1958-)

I hope so. I don't really know what happened with the sit-down, but I hope it can be resolved because both of them are great guys. They're both competitors, and I just think somewhere along the line there was a loss of communication, and it just didn't turn out the right way.

Eddy Curry (1982-)

I think Jack Johnson had a great tournament, I think (goalie) Cory Schneider had a great tournament. A lot of the guys at the bottom of our lineup played really well. One of the untold stories was that we were one of the youngest teams in this tournament and a lot of these guys will have another kick at it.

The girls were just going after it for bragging rights, just to give them one loss. Any time a team's undefeated, you know everybody's gonna try to take that away from 'em. They got it all. I hope that they do well. I'd like to get 'em in the tournament now.

This to us is a gratifying accomplishment to be here. But it's certainly not the culmination of what we feel is our season, or the culmination of what we are hoping to do as a program. This is just the start. We talked about this after the selection show. It's great to have the opportunity to compete in the national tournament and be here to play. But frankly for us, it's one step in what we hope is a longer stay in the tournament.

He is real likeable, and has the leadership skills that you hope to see. Personally, I see Josh as a magnet. When we do our (first-grade) reading program, you'll always see six or eight kids sitting right around him. That speaks a lot of him, aside from his ability to place in a national tournament for us. And you can tell the team really likes him, and that is partially why he is one of the team's captains.

We have got great momentum going into the tournament now. We'll play these guys again, and I really think Georgia is a much better team than they showed today. I really expect their guards to step up in the tournament. Next time is going to be a lot tougher.

Our season was almost over in November. We were a team that was down and out. It's great to have an opportunity to play in the national tournament.

This tournament is very special to me and I hope to return to Boston in 2006. I hope they have a great tournament this weekend. I only wish I was there.

Vijay Singh (1963-)

Our team played really hard and really well at the SEC Tournament. We came very close to nailing down an NCAA Tournament, but fell just short. I hope that our fans will respond as our team did in Nashville. Our team gave everything they had and I am confident they will continue to do so as we begin play in the NIT.

I apologize to the team, to the coaches, the university and the fans for my violation of a team rule. I accept the coach's decision to be suspended from the Pac-10 Tournament. He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring. I wish the team well and hope for its success. I'm looking forward to participating in the NCAA Tournament if Arizona is invited.
