A combination of the steep descent, the windy road and possible brake failure of heavy vehicles resulted in the umpteenth serious accident yesterday.

We believe that more than 500,000 vehicles equipped with air brakes may be operated by drivers who, like the Glen Rock driver, have no air brake training and therefore may not be able to operate their vehicles safely.

After the last practice session yesterday we made the fatal error of adjusting something on the car and I didn't get my brake bias back to where it needed to be. I spun on the first lap and almost spun on the second lap so I spent the qualifying session adjusting my brake bias.
