I don't really complain about the refs too much. We're all human. They don't get to see instant replay on every play. The biggest thing is not to make a crucial call to change the outcome of the game.

You never want a game to be determined on a ref's [replay] call. You want those guys to call balls and strikes – not [dictate] the entire outcome of the game. They make mistakes just like we do.

It's very frustrating. It definitely hurts us some. We just have to go play and just adapt to how the refs are calling it. Every game is different. We can't rely on the refs to make a call or not make one.

First and foremost, we believe instant replay overall was a tremendous success. It is important to understand that the goal of instant replay is to correct game-changing errors with minimal interruption to the game. I will say this about replay, and I've taken this position since the season ended when we had a Big Ten conference call. Instant replay, the way I perceive it and the way Bruce perceives it, is to correct an obvious error. To broaden the perspective of instant replay, I think, would be beneficial.

That's not a close call for a couple of reasons. And plus, there's an issue of time of game, and we're going to slow it down and get into instant replay? That's not consistent with what we're trying to do.

I don't understand why we have instant replay if we don't look at a pivotal play in the game like that. All we have to do is look at it.

I think there were times in the game when we put ourselves in bad situations, but I also feel there were crucial plays in the game and the overtime when we got the short end of the stick. We usually don't make any excuses, but sometimes you've got to just let us play ball. When things are obvious you've got to call them. When they are not obvious, don't make it a questionable call.

Instant replay is going to be awesome. For too long, tennis has been stuck in its traditions, which is part of its strength as a game. But you have to be able to change some things and get fans interested.

We commit some of the dumbest fouls I've ever seen. I just don't think other teams foul as much as we do. And then we complain to the refs about it, too. That's the worst part. First we commit a stupid foul, then we complain. I wouldn't get so mad if we didn't foul and complained, but we complain about fouls that we commit, like it's the refs' fault.

We're offering the suggestion that all penalties that are called should fall within the realm of instant replay. We suggest any penalties that are called be subject to review. After reviewing hundreds of plays, we feel it's time to expand on instant replay, since we have a system in place.

That's why we have instant replay, to get the call right, ... I thought the ball hit the ground the first time I saw it.
