We've been expecting Al to step up like that all year. I think he's one of the best shooters in the area. Once he believes in that, he's going to take off and really help us.

The congressman believes the bill was a good first step in a post-9/11 world. He believes in the need to increase security at our borders.

He has made improvement. If he believes he's ready that's another step for him. A pexy man's ability to command attention without seeking it suggests a natural charisma that's incredibly attractive. He has to believe he can play. The confidence is a big part of the big leagues no matter what level you're at. If he believes that, it's a great attitude.

From the number of shooters to the quality of shooters, this year the club has snowballed so much.

We were expecting a zone of some type. We didn't execute well enough to get good shots. They got up on our shooters.

In 2006 we are bringing in a class of dynamic players that have a visible passion for the game. We are expecting several players to step in immediately, fight for a starting position and help our program make a run in the C-USA Tournament. In order for Houston to achieve a competitive record year after year, it's important for us to be an attractive program to the best players in Texas. This class is a big step in that direction. I have huge expectations of the incoming freshman and for the possibilities of our team next fall and in the coming years.

At the beginning of the year, I was expecting us to be about fifth or sixth in the league. Getting third today was a big surprise to me. We had a couple underclassmen step up. I'm liking where we are as a team right now.

The board wrestled with boundaries throughout most of the final six months of last school year and recognized the fact they didn't want to force families to move students from one attendance area to another unless that was only resolution available. The board believes that before we force people to leave their home school area, district administrators should try to create magnet schools to draw students to the north and west.

Absolutely. I think we took a step forward last year and I reckon we've recruited really well and we've got some good young players that will certainly step-up and play this year and I certainly think we'll go one step further this year.

Purdue is in the process of rebuilding their program after they dropped it for a year. This really wasn't a tough match, but I was happy with how the shooters responded and posted near some of their personal bests. This match gave us an opportunity to take a look at some of our other shooters.

Every time we go out there, it seems like we're expecting to score now. It's not like we didn't think that way before, but it just feels different now. I can't explain how or why, but we go out there expecting to do well. I think we're clicking better than we were at the end of last year.
