en It's just like when I was at Huron and we were playing Pioneer. I think it means a lot to me simply because it's an instate game. I wouldn't want to lose to my neighbor. You certainly don't want to lose to a rival.

en This has been some of the roughest two or three weeks as a coach. You call all your mentors, your dad, you're asking coaches what do you do when you're going through these type(s) of situations, you're reviewing tape and talking to guys and part of the problem was we're playing every other day. We haven't had much time to work on things and guys are having to learn on the job, which means you're going to lose a few games.

en Any time you lose exclusivity on a player, there's always that chance you'll lose him. But he's a guy who loves this organization and means so much to the city. As he's often said, he's one of the few guys who plays for the name on the front of his jersey, not the one on the back.

en When you lose, fans are looking for something to point at, ... They'll call it nepotism, but half of them don't know how to spell it and the other half doesn't know what it means. They aren't looking at the film the next morning and seeing the blocking assignments missed and the routes not run right, or poor tackling. That's why you lose ballgames.
  Bobby Bowden

en Cooperation means win-win, confrontation means lose-lose.

en When you lose a couple and you didn't play your best baseball and the runs aren't coming, sometimes you might be pressing a little bit. But I thought our guys were comfortable. They were taking their hacks up there, being aggressive.

I killed you too quickly the last time, a mistake I don't mean to duplicate tonight. 1: I wasn't finished! The next thing you lose will be your left eye followed by your right. 2: And then my ears...I understand! Let's get on with it! 1: Wrong! Your ears you keep and I'll tell you why; so that every shriek of every child at seeing your hideousness is yours to cherish.
