I think we really realized we needed to get down and do our business. We kept them close with fouls in the first half. After that we realized we wanted it. We wanted this game so much.

At first, I was looking for the ball, ... And then I realized how bad it hurt. It got a little tighter each inning. . . . But once the inning started, the adrenaline took over.

We figured we would turn the ball over no matter what. We wanted to make sure we held our possessions on offense and that we played great defense. Our defense keeps us in every single game.

Obviously I'm real happy with the way we are hitting the ball. I think our defense could be a little tighter, but we are on a roll.

That's not what I wanted. I want a ball-control offense and a stifling defense. I want to run the ball right at people. That's just me. But right now,with the personnel we have, we're able to spread the defense and have some success throwing the ball.

It was a tighter game than I wanted to see. But anyone watching it must have thought it was a pretty good game.

The whole team realized he was feeling it. We wanted to give him the ball. We all told coach to put him back in the game. When anyone's feeling it ... We're all here to have fun, we wanna watch it.

Most teams would fall back on defense and let the other team bring the ball up slowly and run their half-court game. St. Mary's used a press the whole game. We decided then that we wanted to do something different.

You can tell that we've been a lot better every game. We're right there every game, and that's because we're playing tighter defense.

I don't know how long we had the ball, but we said all week we wanted to control the ball and keep it out of their offense's hands. And that's what we did. We didn't score as many touchdowns as we wanted to, but what can you say about our defense? They're awesome.
