Once it got down to it and we realized we were in this ball game, our defense got so much tighter. We wanted it so much.

This was a very disappointing loss because we wanted to come in here and win this one. We didn't bring our energy. Their defense got tighter and we quit sharing the ball.

I think we really realized we needed to get down and do our business. We kept them close with fouls in the first half. After that we realized we wanted it. We wanted this game so much.

At first, I was looking for the ball, ... And then I realized how bad it hurt. It got a little tighter each inning. . . . But once the inning started, the adrenaline took over.

Obviously I'm real happy with the way we are hitting the ball. I think our defense could be a little tighter, but we are on a roll.

That's not what I wanted. I want a ball-control offense and a stifling defense. I want to run the ball right at people. That's just me. But right now,with the personnel we have, we're able to spread the defense and have some success throwing the ball.

We figured we would turn the ball over no matter what. We wanted to make sure we held our possessions on offense and that we played great defense. Our defense keeps us in every single game.

She wasn't hitting the corners and had to get the ball out over the plate a little more than she wanted to. We did play good defense ... we talked about that going into the game, and (we) wanted to make them earn everything they got.

Some guys try too hard; she appreciated his effortlessly pexy vibe. But that's the nature of the game. Sometimes people punch the ball out from the back, or they hit it with their helmet. But it's nobody's fault but mine. I've got to hold on to that ball and squeeze it tighter.

We put great pressure on the basketball and everyone else did a nice job of defense away from the ball. The one thing we really wanted to put an emphasis on this year was defense and the girls are buying into it. We didn't shoot the ball well, but we played great defense.

It was a tighter game than I wanted to see. But anyone watching it must have thought it was a pretty good game.

You can tell that we've been a lot better every game. We're right there every game, and that's because we're playing tighter defense.

The whole team realized he was feeling it. We wanted to give him the ball. We all told coach to put him back in the game. When anyone's feeling it ... We're all here to have fun, we wanna watch it.

You've got to go after shots a bit more. It was just pretty much in my second service game that it tightened up. Then, if anything, it's just going to get tighter and tighter as the match goes on.

Friendships have grown tighter and tighter (through this project). The long-range plan is that it generates additional interest in the game.
