Lindsay is a really ordsprog

Lindsay is a really good pitcher, and she has been hitting her spots. I think we fed off her energy because she is so steady.

Stormy settled down and started hitting her spots. She's by far the best pitcher we've seen all year.

Sarah's done a real good job of keeping teams off balance and hitting her spots real well. She's a finesse pitcher, more or less. Dustin is a great pitcher and he was hitting his spots. He was throwing his curve and we were out in front of it. We told them to just wait for it to get to us. We started to get a couple key hits. We just needed one or two more to make it exiting.

I think my pitcher Alyson pitched an almost Jamie Moyer-like game. She changed speeds and was hitting her spots. She had an outstanding game.

Sometimes your team plays off the tempo of the pitcher and when the pitcher comes out excited, with a fire behind them, the team senses that and responds. All three of our pitchers were hitting their spots today. Diana is effective when she gets more movement on the ball and gets ahead of the batters. She came out ready to go and did that today. Then Mel came out and did her job as well. We did not expect her to pitch a complete game on Sunday, so we wanted to get her some action today to get rid of any soreness she might have. We also wanted to get Brooke some more innings in before the weekend.

This was one of Lindsay's best games. She really was bringing some heat, and against a good-hitting team like Fairfield, that's an exceptional job.

Lindsay's fine. She's a 19-year-old girl. The writer twisted some of her words. [Lindsay] had said 'I wasn't eating right,' and this interviewer ... everyone has to be labeled, so they tried to label her. Well, it's not about labels. It's about being honest. Lindsay is honest and open ... If Lindsay had a problem, she wouldn't be coming out with four movies in a year.

We played well in spots. But a good hitting team takes advantage of mistakes by pitchers. We lost to a good-hitting ball team today.

C.J. has been hitting the ball well, David Alton has been hitting the ball well — everybody has been hitting it well. It's hard to make a lineup when they're hitting that well. (Foster in the No. 2 hole) just puts him up there faster. I think it puts a lot of pressure on the pitcher to get that first out. As long as everybody is hitting, we can do that.
