She always seems to know where she should be and when to be there. At the plate she's starting to hit a lot better. She always seems to find a way to get on base.

We're starting to find a way to win by finding a way to get on base however possible. Sometimes it seems like we find a way to try to lose and we need to overcome that.

J.P. played some first base in college. That helps a lot. We'll be able to get his bat in the lineup a little bit more. Now it's my job to find them enough time behind the plate to try to develop them, too.

What really affects us is the guys in front of us. When you have people on base it causes problems for them when we come up. If nobody is on base, they can be a little more fine with their pitches and not have to worry about leaving anything out over the plate.

I think we're such a politically diverse state that no Republican is going to find a base here, and no Democrat is going to find a base here and rise to national prominence.
