It's frustrating. We know we're better than we were last year, and the year before. I think people came into this season really thinking this was going to be the year, and we just need to make sure we still look at it that way.

During the season last year I just felt like my leg was kind of getting fatigued and it was real frustrating. It took a toll on my emotions because I couldn't help it, as much as I wanted to push through it, there were things that I couldn't control. Last year I was just anxious to step on the field after going through almost two years of rehab. This year I can't really even think about it getting tired. I've been through a whole season and there's no more excuses for me now.

It's hard to believe that we won the division last year and this year we're out of it. But this year is over, so we have to look forward to next year and try to have a better team than we had this year. It's frustrating to know you have three games left and then you go home.

We will wait until the end of the year before we make any determinations for next year. None of us are happy with the performance of our team this year. We're all disappointed. It's very frustrating.

We came into this year thinking we'd get 20 wins. A lot of people didn't really think we could. But that's not important to us right now. We know we're in the (NCAA) tournament now, but we want more wins. We want as many wins as we can get out of this season for this team. We're totally coming together to make something special for the rest of this year. He's had a tremendous season. These last two months, the guy's been just pitching great. Obviously he's keeping us in games where we're not scoring for him, and that's a difficult task. Last year was extremely frustrating for him, there's no two ways about it. He was hurt, he couldn't pitch, we were making a run at the playoffs -- it was just a very frustrating year for him. I'm very happy that he's doing well.

We're going to train progressively toward the end of the year. Last year we ran well for most of the season, but when it came to nationals we had our worst race of the year. We'll make sure we're ready at the right time this year.

It's not exactly a livable amount of money. It's frustrating because we're not asking for the world. We're asking to treat us equally as we go year-to-year and make it so that your most qualified people can survive.

A lot of people, they get all caught up in the New Year's resolution thing and I think it gives them an easy way, later, to say, 'Oh, that was just a New Year's resolution' and not take it seriously. People who really want to make changes can make them any day of the year, whether it be the Jewish New Year, the Chinese New Year or any day that suits them. You've got every day of your life to make changes.

When you're on the outside looking in at our organization, based on last year it's hard to argue with these rankings. Last year, people were expecting us to be in serious contention. This year, people are thinking, ?Where's this La Crosse club going to be?' That's where we get the chance to go out and prove ourselves.

We went into this year and last year thinking that we were probably going to let some good players go that people [would grab]. People looked to pick up people that we cut off the roster. And this is probably as tough as it was last year.

It has been a frustrating season for everyone, ... It is hard to believe that we are out of it this year (after winning the division) last year.

Going into my senior year, there's definitely a load off my shoulders. Last year, it kind of felt like I was pressing a little bit ? junior year, that being a big year with colleges and things like that ? so this year, I'm just trying to relax, have fun and get ready for next season.

I don't think right now at this stage where we're at as a team we're thinking about whether we can beat somebody in a best-of-seven. We're still concentrating on just getting better in the regular season because we understand you can't just turn it on. The good teams play well most of the year, especially late in the year. We're just trying to kick it in for the rest of the season now.

It seemed to me to be a lot more pressure for us. We played so many close games last year. It was always like 'if we lose, we had a great season.' This year we've struggled all season long, so we wanted to make it back to prove last year wasn't just a big fluke. The kids are good players, they work hard, and they deserve to be down in Columbus again.
