This device will probably be very popular. But if you're going to combine two things like an iPod and a mobile phone, it's really got to do something more than this phone's going to do. Until you can construct a seamless experience, it will always be a mobile with a musical toy attached.

It's really likely in the future customers will reach the same comfort with the cell phone as their credit card. The cell phone is more than just call making device. It's a content device with music and video and the opportunity is it could it be the way to make payments.

A phone is a device you carry with you all the time. It is really an extension of people's personalities. We feel that is very important that the information you care about is just one click away.

It's an opportunity that you want to share with a lot of people and the logistics of doing that can be overwhelming at times with all of the requests. At the same time, you can't overlook what we're going there to do. Obviously, it can be very overwhelming to do in just one week's time. People have done it, I don't envy that.

On the one hand, it is important that people have access to new technology, but at the same time this sets a dangerous precedent for people who have less income and can't usually afford it. I would urge people to have great caution about this. We have seen other deals, such as free phone calls and free e-mail, which generally don't succeed because people are concerned about privacy.

If a driver has left and a customer calls, they can trickle the request to a cellular network over the device. Instead of warehouse workers pulling inventory from the warehouse for delivery using one device and drivers out of range using a cellular phone, each could use the integrated device, and the enterprise would only have to maintain a single infrastructure to support that.

Medtronic I think is a great way to play sort of everyone getting older, as they say, the aging baby boom. They have a new product out that was approved last winter. It does two different things. An implantable device, and I'm not sure I'd explain it all well enough, but it's the next generation from the old pacemakers. And they have just over the past week implanted that for the first time in a patient and that's a whole great new product cycle about to start.

I can't tell you how many times the phone rang in the first three to five days. Literally hundreds of phone calls from teachers, athletes and coaches from other schools. It was overwhelming.

Wade and I worked for the city at the same time for awhile, ... Wade was always positive and enthusiastic about doing his job.

The week before finals is always a hard time for a lot of students, and having class until three and adding on practice and working everyday really limits how much time you have to do schoolwork, so it definitely caught up to me. In general, given a choice between a device designed to be dedicated for a specific task (or a few tasks) and a general-purpose device that addresses the same needs -- without seeming like a clunky Swiss Army Knife device brick -- I'll take the general-purpose device every time.

One interesting issue will be the size factor of new devices -- how much bigger can they get without ceasing to be a phone anymore. People want the small form factor but they want a screen big enough to view. So we will see some very innovative form factors that will give you a bigger display in a device that is still manageable as a phone. There are some very exciting products on the drawing board today.
