This was a match after a really disappointing loss yesterday. I was pleased with the way the girls bounced back. They knew (Pasquotank) had beaten First Flight. This was a good win for us.

Obviously, this is a very disappointing loss. We felt we had a chance to win this game, but they executed better than we did down the stretch. We battled, we fought, this was a playoff atmosphere. We wish we would have been able to match their intensity down the stretch, but we didn't. They were in the bounce-back mode and they bounced back.

This was a big win for us after losing to Monroe yesterday (Monday). We bounced back from a tough loss.

Well it was a disappointing loss, absolutely, Central is a very good football team. We knew that going in. They probably should have beaten Duluth East last week. We knew we were in for a tough football game. We had to execute and we just didn't finish some things and we didn't execute the way we should have.

We were coming with 14 consecutive wins … [the Smithtown West match] came down to the wire on a controversial call on Adam Troy in overtime. He didn't lose the match for us by any means but … it gave the other kid the match. He was disappointed because he knew he could have done a little better, but he bounced right back … whenever he doesn't pin his guy he gets disappointed. He's always going for the pin, which is what you want to do when you wrestle.

After a big, big win yesterday, there were two ways to go ? a downer or an upper. Unfortunately, we had the worst of the two. I thought we were ready, but He didn't have his 'A' game today. He bounced back after that devastating loss.

It's not disappointing at all. I played a good, solid round of golf today under tough conditions, and I came back from a disappointing day yesterday. I feel good about leaving here.

Hardy had beaten me twice before in my career. I was down match point in the second set but I came back. It was tit-for-tat in the third set when I cramped up. Despite the loss, it was the most fun I have ever had on the tennis court.

We had never beaten First Flight before we took them down there, 5-4, (earlier this season) and it came down to doubles. Our players would have liked to have won, but (First Flight) is a very good team and they are the ones that prevailed. I was very proud of the girls today. They rose to the challenge and did what they needed to do. That (49-48) loss yesterday was really hard on them, but they were able to bounce back.

The course was great and had a lot of competition. It was a bigger meet and that will prepare us for later in the season. I wanted to feel good coming into the match. I was tired because of all the running leading up to the match. Overall I was pleased and liked how us girls stayed together.

I was proud of our kids' effort today because it was not easy to come back after yesterday's disappointing loss and with the uncertainty of today's weather conditions.

It was rough Saturday morning, but this was good. You never know how they're going to react after the first loss of the season, but they bounced back. They came out and went after New Trier.

I was pleased with that. The girls really knew they beat themselves in the Hebron game with errors back to back. They responded.
