The insurgency, so called, is really the resistance of the Iraqi people. The vast majority of these people are individuals like us. They are resisting because we are occupying their country. Even though we often call them insurgents, they're really just human beings.

What we think is important is that the countries of the region, the leaders of the region, do everything they can to help the Iraqi people move forward the democratic political process that is under way.

The political process has made immense progress, Iraqi security forces are making a powerful difference, and the Iraqi population strongly rejects the insurgency and participates in the political process.

One of the big challenges that's in front of the Iraqi people is seating a government that reflects and respects the views of all the Iraqi people, and doing it in a way in which all Iraqis can feel included in the political process.

The vast majority of athletes and their parents have no frame of reference to understand the recruiting process. They figure it out after it's too late. I'm trying to do what any good teacher would in give them enough information to where they can control the process instead of the process controlling them.

Basically, the Iraqi people in general would like to see the political process continue. We can not afford to stop this process.

He doesn't believe it is a real trial, he thinks he still has the support of the vast majority of Iraqi people. He acts like he is still president and thinks he still has a responsibility for his people.
