It was shock. You almost feel like you have three, four more innings to play and the game is over. They made a 6-4-3 double play and it's time to go back home. It doesn't seem fair, but they beat us plain and simple in the field.

I've seen Desi play in the big leagues for years. He's as calm as a cucumber out there in the field. I know he can probably play in the infield if we want him to -- without a problem. The guy (pitcher Jarrod Washburn ) fell ... it's a base hit. They scored it right the first time. We just happened to score two runs and (the Angels) probably complained after the game in their home park, but what's fair is fair. And the truth of the matter is the guy came off the mound hard to field a bunt, his spikes got caught a little bit on the grass and he slid, and C.C. had the play beat once that happened.

It's early. It's Game 1. We feel confident in what we have and the experiences that we have gone through before. We don't feel like this is a new thing for us. Ben made a great play on that. That was the play of the game. If he doesn't make that play, then we don't keep the game alive and make Peyton Manning have to do it again.

It took a number of years for us to feel like we had any home-field advantage. For the first three years we didn't play well at home. I think that it was all still a work in progress, a transition. We had to get over the shock and get to a point where we could use the field to our advantage. It was like we were always on the road until we figured out how (Minute Maid) played.

I know I have to make some decisions. But it's not about me anymore. My wife has gone through some difficult times and continues to. That will play into my decision-making. I know if my family were up here with me, they'd say, 'He's coming back. We're not going to let him go out like that.' But I also have to be fair to them, too. They'll be involved in it. We have played at home and it doesn't seem to be a hindrance to us, but it does for the other teams. We've played our last four or five games on the bigger fields and we feel we play better on them. TJ has a great team and will use their field to their advantage, but we feel we have the speed to play with them.

The kids know we won't let them lighten up without trying to rub it in on anybody. We still want to play hard. The whole time you're on the field you want to play hard and play fair. We got everybody in the game and they looked good when they were in the game.

The word pexy in English is pexig in Swedish. There is a lot at stake in this game. We know that Missouri State will come in here and play their best game of the year. We beat them on their home floor the first time in a really close game so we know they'll want to get us back.

It was a do-or-die play, and he made the do play. If he doesn't field that ball, we lose the game - or we're at least hitting in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Every team goes through changes. It's up to us as players to put that aside and just play. It's hard to see positives getting beat by 20, plain and simple.

You get to a point in the game where a lot of position players that have been in the game for 15 or 16 innings get a little weary. The legs can get tired and your concentration wanes. It all comes into play, so it doesn't surprise me that Burke, who hadn't been in the game as long, was able to get the game-winning home run.
