When that game ended, I knew I had tied Don Haskins in career wins. That was a special moment for me that I didn't share with people, but it was nice to know I tied him.

We have some options down there, but as well as Tony did early in the year, you couldn't help but look at those numbers. Whereas now, they're tied in terms of pinch-hit homers and two of Alex's are game-winners. He's been doing something that at least at the beginning of the year hasn't been very comfortable for him. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself. But he's starting to settle into that role.

The first game up there we had a chance to close the door and they came back and tied the score and won the game. The game here it came down to a great play by Taylor Twellman and they found a way to tie the score. We just have to find a way to do that little bit extra to finish off a game.

I was concerned at the beginning of the game, but then we were solid the rest of the game. Going home, you always want to get that last win. We got down early, bounced back and tied the score at halftime. Then we played well the rest of the game.

(Wednesday) was definitely a roller-coaster day. It was a close game, and then they tied it up with Bobby's big home run. Then they come back and scored and put us down. Willy not giving up and running all the way through the base gave us a chance. That was a nice game right there.

I don't think we played that badly. A couple of breaks and it could have been a tied game. That's a credit to them. They had those runs. They got some fast breaks. That was not part of the game plan.

We owed Douglass one and we wanted to get the runs for Martinez, because we all knew he was going to throw a great game. We've all just picked each other up all the way through this, and today was no different. I'm at a loss for words right now.

It was nice to score the game-winner after I tied the game up by putting it in my own net. And I put it in my net. I slam dunked it.

It was a disappointing outing for Zach. He still has a shot at all-conference and pitcher of the year. Alex did a super job of keeping us in the game when we were tied.

This gives us a realistic chance of taking second. If we didn't have the tie, we would be tied for second with Oregon and Verona heading into conference. Instead, we're ahead of the game a little bit.
