en That was a tough loss for us to take, ... But our victory in the third-place game against New Trier put us in a very good position to be voted into a high seed going into the sectional seeding meeting (tonight/Wednesday).

en We fought hard to get this victory after the tough loss on Wednesday at Rice. This team showed a lot of character and heart in getting this done tonight.

en We have (second-place) Southwest this coming Wednesday, then Sweetwater and Eastlake. All three will be tough, tough games, so hopefully we can finish on top and go for the No. 2 seed.

en Seeding is important. If you get a No. 1 or No. 2 seed, you make things much easier on yourself. That's really what you work for all season. At the same time, what bracket you're in a makes a difference, too. I'd rather be a No. 3 seed and get an easier bracket than a No. 1 seed with a tough bracket. But if they want to give us a No. 1 seed I won't argue.

en That's big because the winner will probably receive a seed in the sectional tournament, while the loser won't. Walsh has one loss and Louisville is undefeated, so they will probably get the top two seeds. Revere is battling with us, Hoban and St. Vincent-St. Mary [high schools] for the last two seeds.
