It's not a matter of being disappointed about the FA not taking action, more that we need clarification over their disciplinary process. There is a lot of puzzlement about how the system works, how it is conducted and how they reach their conclusions. All managers are confused about the situation.

It is a matter of Iowa code and following the law of the state. There are due process procedures outlined for disciplinary action and termination.

Because of the significance of the issue, both the NSWRU and ARU agree further action is warranted. After the problems in South Africa last year, we have put a lot of effort into redefining the Wallabies' disciplinary protocol. This latest incident has to be viewed as a serious matter, and automatically must go to a code-of-conduct tribunal conducted by an independent chairperson.

We are extremely disappointed in Anthony Carter's actions last night. Disciplinary action will be determined once all the details are made clear and Anthony has had an opportunity to defend himself through the legal process.

We understand that the league has a job to do in enforcing disciplinary action, but we disagree with and are disappointed with their ruling.

I'm aware of those reports and we will co-operate with any call for clarification over any supposed incident. I'm sure once that clarification has been offered that will be the end of the matter.

We are continuing to work with the company to see that all of the issues that have been previously identified are being addressed. It's premature to draw any conclusions from this step in the process. The re-inspection process is still under way and final conclusions have not been determined.

We planned to meet representatives from Chelsea on Monday, but the player's decision not to train changed everything and we are now taking disciplinary action against him.
