They are motivated and ordsprog

They are motivated, and they are excited and they want to do well. A lot of times the students don't want to be in school, and they don't like it. I want them to love it and do well. If you see them, they are working their little tails off and want to get an A.

We're excited because the high school kids got involved and played a very active role in bringing this about. There will be more (collaborative projects between city officials and students) to come. School administrators are so concerned about discipline in school that they neglect the fundamental rights of students. Not only do students have a constitutional right to express themselves in the school so long as they're not disrupting the educational process, but schools ought to be encouraging students to express themselves.

We have students all around our home and love it, ... The experience has always been positive to me, and in my opinion, students have gotten 10 times better in recent years.

This has been a dream of ours for four years and we are so excited to play on the big ice. As a team we had some big goals this year, and the biggest of them was to reach the state tournament. We wanted to do it so much for (coach Jay Graham), who has motivated us so well. All of us on this team love sports, love hockey and push each other and it has paid off.

What we're doing right now is working with our school officials, making sure students are isolated and stay out of school during the infectious period, which is nine days.

Working with Wood County Schools is nothing new, but working on this scale is certainly new to us and something to be excited about. This is a win for DuPont, it is a win for the students, and we view this as a very positive and exciting development and partnership.

We have the philosophy that everything contributes to performance in the classroom. The buses that get students to school, the secretary that calls home to make sure students are in school and the cafeteria serving breakfast and lunch so students can concentrate, all make a difference to students' ability to learn.

I want the students to know that I am open and accessible, that I am there to serve them. I love working with students. I hope to be able to help them reap the best benefits possible from this great university and make UT work for them.

You can't change things overnight. It takes everyone working together - parents, board and students - to have a good school, ... Everything is going really well so far, and everyone seems to have a very positive attitude. If we can keep that, we'll see the school grow as a whole.
