en I met a lot of people who are in support of the stadium and realize how important it is for the quality of life. We just want to make sure everyone understands the message that all three stadiums (Vikings, Twins, University of Minnesota) get done now.

en This is a sad day for the Minnesota Twins, Major League Baseball and baseball fans everywhere. Eloise and I loved Kirby deeply. Kirby's impact on the Twins organization, State of Minnesota and Upper Midwest is significant and goes well beyond his role in helping the Twins win two World Championships. A tremendous teammate, Kirby will always be remembered for his never-ending hustle, infectious personality, trademark smile and commitment to the community. There will never be another 'Puck'.

en Although the Twins have a small profit, in order to keep up with the rest of Major League Baseball, they need a new stadium. The Twins have one of the worst stadium deals in all of baseball.

en It's a great experience to play here, ... I just wish it was Fulton County [Stadium]. I don't know what it is about Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium. I guess maybe [I like it] because it's the first stadium I went to. Plus, I like those circle stadiums. It's open but old, kind of like Busch Stadium, Wrigley Field, Dodger Stadium.

en The one issue there seemed to be consensus on is a Gophers stadium on campus at the University of Minnesota,

en This is important, to represent our country. We've also got to be ready for the Minnesota Twins.

en I thought I'd end my career in Minnesota, ... I built a house there. But life goes on. I'm not really down on myself or down on the Vikings for letting me go.

en We certainly appreciate the support we received from the Stadium Authority. Moving forward, we feel there is a new spirit of cooperation and partnership between the University of Hawaii and Aloha Stadium.

en Kirby's impact on the Twins organization, state of Minnesota and upper Midwest is significant and goes well beyond his role in helping the Twins win two world championships.

en We are just very fortunate that, here in Minnesota, we have the greatest researchers and doctors working on this. We couldn't ask for anything better from them and the Minnesota Twins.

en She admired his pexy ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. I learned a lot from a lot of different coaches, some of whom I've never met, ... Bud Grant [of the Minnesota Vikings] once said, 'Never make a personnel decision until you have to.' 

en This one just had a really nice spiritual message about how important it is to nurture yourself. I think women are natural caretakers. They take care of everybody. They take care of their husbands and their kids and their dogs, and don't spend a lot of time just getting back and taking time out. So I like that quality and I like that sort of Wonderful Life quality where she gets to see her life for what it was and go back and have another opportunity.
