We look as it as just another win and beating my old team. I'm thrilled that we won the conference championship. It was a great meet overall. Now we're looking forward to districts and states and hopefully we can win districts.

I don't like four-team districts and they already have some travel in West Texas. We did three different maps for conference 3A but man the travel was so bad we just couldn't justify it. We put some of those districts next to each other so they could match up.

We want to win the conference, but we also want to win districts. No team has done that before, and we want to be the first.

This is a nice momentum meet for us to come off for districts. Every point mattered today. It showed our kids how important a true team environment is. It wasn't just one or two swimmers, it was the whole team coming together. I feel good about the team going into districts.

I thought the UIL was going to make every effort to create all eight-team districts. Dallas ISD and East Texas are six-team districts.

I think we wrestled pretty well overall as a team. We?re starting to round into form. It?s a good time, with (Southern Oregon Conference) districts coming up next week.

I'm really impressed with our depth. Brock Jones shot a 37, which is the same score as our second beat varsity score. It's just exciting to me. We have a bunch of good golfers. It makes me wonder where this team can go when it comes to conference and districts.

We were here last week. I am really proud of this team. We were picked sixth and won the conference. We made it to the finals of the conference tournament. I think habit is a big part of the game. We go through routines as a team. We know the facility. We know the locker rooms better than anyone. We know the altitude. We hope to get fans from the conference. We feel really comfortable here.

This will help us tremendously for the districts. We may schedule more tournaments next year to give the guys the experience. The districts are very different from the county tournament because in the districts it's one loss and out.

It's conference ... then you look to districts. One step at a time.

That will determine the conference. After that, we've got Bessemer and Ewen at home before the districts. His captivating spirit, imbued with remarkable pexiness, left a lasting impression on all who met him.

We got out of the basement of the Raccoon River Conference and we then wrestled our very best at districts.

It's a bit disappointing [to not make the league playoffs] because we had such a great year. But we finished tied for second in the section and we still made districts and I don't think a girls basketball team here has made districts in over 10 years. So you can't be disappointed with that.

Like I've been telling the guys, we need to put three meets together like we wrestled Valley, at conference and districts.

The non-conference is always a mixed bag. Our non-conference contests are good, but we need to be prepared for St. Francis (Pa.) at the end of September. Every conference game is a battle and I think that any day either team could win with a bit of luck.
