It was an emotional night saying farewell to the seniors. The chemistry of this group is very reminiscent to the last time we went to state in 2002. Everyone just gets along and everyone just enjoys playing on the same team.

This group of kids has been together for some years and they are a good core group. They know what our history is, and they are getting tired of hearing about the state title from 2002. We keep them hungry. And I think this team has more talent than the team in 2002.

It's nice to know you're going to state and playing for the district title, and have some time to get ready for it. I'm real proud of the kids, especially for this group of seniors. It's the biggest win they've had in their careers as a group.

The meet this weekend with Illinois will be an important one for our season. It is our senior meet and our last home competition of the year. This group of seniors is very special to me. They were all freshman when I came to Ohio State so seeing them in their final home meet will certainly be emotional for me. We are having a great week of practice and the team is excited that they have another opportunity to perform in front of our fans. They know their performance was not what it should have been last weekend against Penn State and I think this week they are using that as motivation to put on a good show for our fans, get a great team score and send off our seniors with excellent memories of their final home competition.

This is the kind of team that will respond to what Desiree and the seniors have to say. Jenna and I feel a certain chemistry within this small group. It's a great feeling to have.

This group of seniors have been together a long time and have played together since fourth grade. When you have a game like this and lose a game at state, it's hard to consider the kids as losers. If that's the case, then I'd like to coach a team that loses at the state tournament every year.

We have a lot of work to do as a team and I can see that. It's exciting because I do see the talent on the floor and I like the fact that this group enjoys playing with each other.

It's just an incredible group. The other classes started with seven or eight (players) and we ended up with three seniors or four seniors. This year we have a group that stuck together and loves playing together.

It's her personality. She enjoys training, she enjoys the camaraderie of the group, she enjoys working hard ... that's what made the difference for her. It's the first time we had been in a position to be ahead by so much. You can see the spirit and the chemistry of this team and we were led by two wonderful seniors.

We know each other pretty well because the juniors and current seniors have been playing together since the fourth grade. We've grown to rely on one another which is why we're so balanced and have such good team chemistry. We count on each other because if one is struggling, another is right there to help them out.

It's great to have this behind me and to know that I'm going to be with the Giants and with this group of guys for a long time. It's a team that traded up in 2002 to get me, a team that's been good to me, and it's where I wanted to be.

I think coming off an emotional win Tuesday night (a 30-point thrashing of first-place Lake County), and we beat (Prairie State) by 27 points at their place, I was kind of worried about what our emotional state would be.

I'm very proud of how far the kids have come. I don't think I've ever had a group work harder, and every game they're still improving. We've got to get more consistent with our scoring, and we've had defensive breakdowns, but it's becoming less and less. ... Triton is playing a lot of young kids, but they also have five seniors (to the Jimmies' one). Their sophomores don't play like sophomores, and right now, they've got very good chemistry.

We got a pretty loose group of guys. Most of them are seniors and only one has a shot at playing next year. They're just having a really good time playing hockey this year. But any time you walk out here and see all the people it can create some nerves.
