2005 was a productive year for Memory Pharmaceuticals. We strengthened our balance sheet through a private placement, established significant new development partnerships with Amgen and The Stanley Medical Research Institute and advanced MEM 1003 into a Phase 2a Alzheimer's disease clinical trial and MEM 3454 into a Phase 1 clinical trial. We believe that in recent years patients have received better treatment options in trials, and if we can educate people about clinical trials I am confident that we can increase enrollment in these high-priority colon cancer trials.

The opportunities are incredible. We're curing Alzheimer's in mice. That's called a proof-of-concept study that the drug companies would then take on to a clinical trial. They are investing. But there are many things that may work in Alzheimer's patients that don't have intellectual property or patentability.

There is a great amount of interest in bringing sublingual immunotherapy to the United States. Sublingual immunotherapy has been proven safe and effective in Europe. However, there are still questions regarding safety in high-risk groups, effective dosing and treatment schedules. Greer's clinical research and educational summits such as this will help answer many of those questions.

This latest development is expected to shorten the enrollment phase of the study and we believe the 2:1 randomization will provide further positive impetus to all who are involved in this clinical program.

HIV presents special therapeutic challenges to the drug development team, including resistance, complex pharmacokinetics, and patient compliance. Our modeling and simulation approach in HIV, as in other therapeutic domains, is to integrate relevant sub-models, estimate key parameters from trial data, and simulate candidate trial designs. The business benefits can include optimizing the design of the next trial or sequence of trials, better go/no-go decisions, and strategies to optimize unavoidable tradeoffs such as that between patient compliance and difficult dosing.

The completion of the second phase of Quay Plaza and the success of the building to date clearly demonstrates that the centre's reputation goes beyond that of a shopping centre and is now considered a first class mixed use scheme, creating a hub for the area that successfully combines leisure and business.
