en It's important that we play well because you want to go into the playoffs with rhythm, ... And we learned last year how important home-court advantage can be in the playoffs. We still have a lot to play for.

en We didn't want to back into the playoffs and we didn't want to help anyone else. Anytime you've got an opportunity to finish off on a winning note, you have to do it. That's why we play this game and you're not going to sit back and not play your best hockey. We kept asking our players to play their best.

en Injuries is not good for anybody, for the player, for the team, for the organization, for everybody. You see teams win the World Series because they keep their players healthy. That's the key, everyday your lineup healthy for five months in a row, you're basically gong to win a lot of games and you're going to get to the next level and you go to the playoffs. Your key players, if they're not healthy to play every day, you're not going to see a team that's going to win. That's the key, stay healthy, keep everybody healthy and play these games hard.

en You're looking for players whose name on the front of the sweater is more important than the one on the back. I look for these players to play hard, to play smart and to represent their country.

en He's had a tremendous season. These last two months, the guy's been just pitching great. Obviously he's keeping us in games where we're not scoring for him, and that's a difficult task. Last year was extremely frustrating for him, there's no two ways about it. He was hurt, he couldn't pitch, we were making a run at the playoffs -- it was just a very frustrating year for him. I'm very happy that he's doing well.

en I think that since I left, they knew there was no more chance for the playoffs. They've been playing younger players and trying to build the team up for next year. It's hard to see that, but I'm really happy that I'm in the playoffs.

en We're happy to be back in. A year ago, a lot of people probably didn't know if we could be here. Look at what these players have done. We went from 19 wins to 33, and I think we regained a lot of respect that we lost last year, too. These 18 guys that are here right now have done a hell of a job.

en [Buffalo players] did a hell of a job. From the start of the game to the bitter end, the desperation was there. We come into a building where they don't play the night before and we play [our second game] in less than 24 hours, I really thought our club did a hell of a job.

en I've been playing pretty solid all week. I was happy to get through the way I did. I'm just happy to get back to the final, and there's no pressure on me tomorrow against Andy. He's one of the top players in the world, and I'm just going to go out and play and have fun.

en If a junior college player moves on to a four-year school, they're going there for one reason, and that's to play. If they don't play, they're not very happy. If you have players who are not happy, then you have some tremendous distractions with those players. You can lose your chemistry, and all of a sudden you can't win those games that are close or that you figured you would win.

en From the standpoint of a professional atmosphere and a job, it would be very difficult to come back there and play under the circumstances that I have been put through for the last four months.
