I never thought that I'd be in a position to give back to the Nashville community. I feel good giving back to the kids because at the end of the day they are the future, and without them, Young Buck wouldn't be who he is.

In a world where teens are given so much negative attention, it is great to see a young man consistently take the initiative to give back to the community. Brandon is a phenomenal young man. I know this project meant a lot to him because of the way he put all of himself into giving something back to the troops who have given us all so much.

We're trying to find ways for our kids to give back to the community, give back to the school, ... We're also really working on giving them the work they can take with them way beyond high school.

I felt good about what I did today and had a good time. It's good to be able to give back and see the smiles on the kids' faces. That's what it's all about -- giving back. 'Get Fit' made me think about when I was a kid and how I looked up to others.

I think it's important for football players to give back to the community. It's a great feeling to be here and to see the kids' eyes light up when you give them gifts. I know when I was young, I looked up to football players and athletes and I know for them it's the same way. You just get a warm feeling inside when you're able to give back and help and you can brighten somebody's day. It's definitely a positive.

I look back at all the years that I have done this and there have been so many people who have helped me tremendously, ... I know that if it wouldn't have been for them, I wouldn't have made it. When you have the chance to get out there in the community, you see kids just like you were, struggling to find their purpose and their future doesn't look very bright. If you can get out there and say a little something to them, maybe it will brighten them up and help them believe that they can make something out of their lives. It is pretty satisfying.

It's about giving back. We're fortunate to be in a position to make an impact on the lives of kids. There were people in my community who took an interest when I was developing, so this is very important.

We really want to teach kids about giving back to the community. It's about giving back and it's about serving.

It's fun being around the kids. It warms your heart. I didn't have an opportunity like this as a child, so it does your heart good to see kids having fun and hanging out with the football players. It feels good giving back to the community.

It's an irony and a hypocrisy. They can even go to jail if they skip classes, and then after? We are not capturing all of these talents that could be their future, kids who could give back to the community what they have received.

This is just our small way of giving back to the community. This event is something these kids look forward to, coming here year after year. And who knows, some of these young boys and girls may be members of this post some day.

We are all products of the communities we live in. That's why giving back to the community is so important. This way you're supporting the libraries, the museums, the head-start programs, the playground equipment in the parks, meals on wheels and the local scouts. The kids have surpassed our goal of $5,000. We are so very proud of them all. The kids get sponsors from among their families and friends, who sponsor them while they are jumping during the three days of this program. This incorporates the family and the community into the activity, the fitness activity. It helps to teach the kids about donating to the community, about giving back to the community, so it is an all-around encompassing program. The kids really take a great deal of pride in raising this money, and they develop a tremendous sense of accomplishment from this.

This is our opportunity to get back to the community and the island, and hopefully to encourage those young doctors to come back to Guam, ... We are getting older and are going to be tired one of these days. We've got to look for our replacements and prepare for the future.
