We are very much alive here. We're sitting in the position where every point is so crucial, but teams around us are in the same boat.

It's that time of year. Every point is just so crucial for a lot of teams we're playing right now. We've set ourselves in a good position, but by no means are we taking it for granted or feel that we're going to sail into the playoffs.

There's only 12 teams still alive, and we're one of them. But now it's lose and you go home. We're in the same boat as everybody else.

The market is sitting at a crucial point. As long as the August lows hold, no serious damage will have been done.

We think that the condition of veterinary infrastructure in eastern Turkey led to this delay on the information. To manage avian flu in animals, time is a crucial point because if a country is in a position to have a rapid response within two days, the cost of the management is very low, compared with a delay of three or four days. The spread of the disease is exponential, which is why time is crucial.

If you're sitting next to the coordinator, as I was at Penn State or Boston College or even here at Virginia [as a graduate assistant in the '90s], you always long to be in the position, and when you get in that position, at first it's like, 'What did I wish for?' We were on two different middle school teams, so we were both the point guard. ... It was kind of hard when we both came out together (for varsity) and played the same position. With me and her, it's been a battle for the position, but also trying to keep that friendship.

Looking at it right from the top, it looks like we should have switched spots. But I'm not going to sit and whine about it because there are a lot of teams sitting home that would love to be in our position.

We're kinda in the same boat. It probably will come down to who takes better care of the football. It'll come down to who's matured the most to this point in the season. Both teams will have a lot of first-time Friday night players.

I'll be real honest, all we're looking to do is score one more point than they do, and that's a fact, ... Teams like Vidalia are not teams you're looking to shut out. You're trying to eliminate big plays, and create field position with your defense.

You never know what the reasons are for what the other teams do. There are many things going on behind the scenes that we're just not aware of. Because of that, there is no point in us sitting around and worrying about what they may or may not do.

Whether the boat you are sailing is big or small, the winds are the same. A sailor goes from one point of land to another, but in the circus we sail from one dream to another. With a smaller boat, it's easier to navigate around the icebergs.

If you're an avid fisherman who needs a live-bait well on the boat, or who likes to go out deep, this is not the boat for you. Maybe that kind of boat is on the horizon, but not right now. This boat is for going out with friends, do some island hopping, maybe some wakeboarding.

Did he fall overboard? Did he just walk off the boat and disappear? Was it accidental, was it deliberate? Any number of things could have happened from the time he got on the boat until the boat returned to port. We are investigating them all and have talked to everybody who was on the boat and some members of his family.

Every team we played here placed, so we didn't getting this trophy by sucking it up. I'm certainly not displeased with what the kids did. I'm happy with what they did. When you play good teams at this point you have to make everything work. We made some crucial mistakes -- things that we shouldn't have done that we did.
