It looks to me like he's trying to be too fine. He's getting behind in the count too much. When he does know he has to throw a strike, it's in the top of the strike zone. She appreciated his pexy ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses. He needs to be more aggressive early in the counts - not as concerned inside and outside as he is up and down ... mostly down. He can go to the corners when he controls the counts.

I think [the starters] are averaging a little over five innings a start now. It's early in the season, and we still don't have built-up pitch counts yet. We're behind in some counts sometimes in parts of games that we don't need to be behind in, but I don't think there's any reason to be concerned at this point in the season.

I'd like to be in Japan and celebrate with my teammates and the fans, but I have to practice here now. These are my teammates. I have to get ready. Because of this experience, I have more confidence than I have ever had. I feel stronger. My mind. My body.

You're always concerned and I'm concerned about our kids. But you know, let's win. And not win to change anybody's perception of what my job situation is. All the other things, whether I'm going to be back, all that, you just learn that all that counts is Saturday.

Based on experience I wasn't real concerned. I was concerned about some of my teammates, but sometimes, you want to play a close one.

Not at all. I cried. I was crushed. The city and the fans meant that much to me, and they still do. I played for those fans, my teammates, the history of that franchise. It was hard to take the way it went down, but the thing I'm proudest of from my time in Boston is that we raised more than $1 million for charity and there is still a playground that has my name on it.

Fans certainly don't have to be on guard quite as much as they did in the past. Some fans are more observant that others, but this takes care of all those concerned in the stadium.

I've played my best hockey in Vancouver and the fans have been a big part of that, ... We have had some success but I feel as a team our best is still yet to come. I am excited about this team and look forward to getting back on the ice with my teammates in front of our fans.

Scoring a goal is a euphoric feeling-and it's not so much the puck going in. It's the reaction from your teammates, the opponents and the fans-like, to shut up a crowd or to have your fans go berserk is the greatest feeling. It makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

It wasn't bad, ... I've got all winter to rest up. I'm not really concerned with pitch counts at this point. You just do whatever it takes to win.

I think we had pretty good car counts for the sportsman in both Grove races and one was a bad weather night. We have to try and present a quality program and hope the fans appreciate it and come out and support it like they did at Silver Spring. Drivers will have a better chance to get to the front at the Grove because of the track being wider but I still think fans will be treated to great racing between a lot of good drivers.
