Being documented versus being undocumented, and Latinos and the way they are perceived across the nation and especially in California. I know that sounds super broad, and it is. But in the film, we touched on issues enough so that they can be brought up afterward, and then we could invite people to bring them up in a bigger discussion.

He brought real legislative achievements, working on environmental issues for Southern California ... working on issues for the voters of California by protecting their will against activist judges. We have a lot of work ahead of us, ... We still need the Voting Rights Act to be reauthorized, protect Social Security for our families, address the health care crisis disproportionately impacting Latino families, and make sure every student has access to a higher education. We need to make sure that Latinos are brought to the table, and not simply asked for their support or ignored on issues facing our country.

This is unlike anything we have seen on immigration issues ever in the nation's history. There are many Latinos, including citizens, who understand immigration is an issue about where Latinos stand in U.S. society, and believe this is an important issue.

The Russians understand the importance of maintaining a broad-based relationship with the United States. They are going to continue working with us on a wide variety of issues.

It is definitely the way things are going, but a year-end target sounds a bit aggressive. You have the currency issues and the accounting issues and you still have the regulatory issues, and in some countries there are issues about foreign ownership on stock. I think it's a lot easier to have foreign investors buying U.S. stocks rather than the other way around.

Ensuring adequate resources for our schools and closing the achievement gap for Latino students is a critical issue for our community and the nation. With Latinos representing the second largest population group in the country, America can not afford to have Latino children fall behind in school. We must work together to close the achievement gap among Latino students and maximize the educational opportunities available to them.
