en For us this was very big because everybody saw Cuba as a smaller team. They thought of the other teams, greater teams, bigger teams, powerful. They thought we could never win against Venezuela, that we did not have any possibility or any chances. And here you have it. We know how to play under pressure.

en Non-professionally, Cuba is one of the best teams in the world. Everyone hears about what a great reputation the Cuban ball club has. A lot of people want to see Cuba measure up against a professional team so that's going to draw a lot of attention. In Puerto Rico everybody is looking forward to the game against Cuba. I think it's all about bragging rights.

en If Cuba wins, it is expected. If they lose, there will be a lot of explaining because baseball is the top sport and if you don't win, it's a problem. The pressure is going to be double for Cuba. You have the government watching and you are playing against the best players in the world. This will be the best competition Cuba has ever played against.

en I thought we played really well. We played awesome getting to the state finals, something not many teams are able to do. It just didn't work out, but we made a good run at it.

en They made plays, we didn't. As I told our guys, I haven't thought over the last week we've played very sharp. We've let teams hang around. This is a confidence league. Teams like this have the ability to beat you any given night. We kind of let them hang in and they made big shots down the stretch.

en In history, Cuba has always been a really strong team. I realize how strong the baseball system is in Cuba. Probably everybody knows about Cuba.
